The Day of Your Visit
For your optimal well being, we require that all patients arrive the day of surgery with an adult family member or friend (18 years or older).
This important person will stay at the SurgiCenter while you receive care, join you in recovery, and ensure that you get home safely.
Please also remember . . .
- Bring identification and insurance card.
- Do not bring small children with you.
- Do not wear makeup, nail polish, jewelry or body piercings.
- We recommend that you leave any important valuables at home.
Getting to Rush SurgiCenter
- Drive to the entrance of the Rush Professional Building on 1725 West Harrison, Professional Building III, Suite 556.
- Complete directions can be found in our Location page.
- Valet parking is provided by the SurgiCenter, offering door-to-door convenience on the day of your visit. The center also validates parking in the Rush visitor garage.
Once You Arrive
- When you enter Rush Professional Building, follow the signs to Elevator III and take it to the fifth floor where the SurgiCenter is located, suite 556.
- Before and after registering, you may be asked to relax in the patient waiting area.
- The nursing staff will call you when it is time for your procedure.
- Remember to bring your photo ID with current address or utility bill with current address and Insurance card or Workers Comp information for registration.
Your Procedure
- Once in the preoperative area, a locker will be provided for your clothing and other belongings. We recommend that you leave your valuables, such as jewelry, contact lenses and extra cash, at home. THE SURGICENTER WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.
- After our staff has oriented you about your procedure, you will be prepared for surgery and taken to the operating room.
- When your procedure is complete, you will return to the recovery area where your family member or friend may join you.
- Recovery times vary so you will be observed and asked to stay as long as needed.
