About Your Surgery

If you are scheduled to visit us for outpatient surgery, please make note of the following items.

Prior surgery.

Before your surgery, you will be interviewed by a member of the SurgiCenter team. You will be asked your current health status, medications you are taking, and allergies and reactions to any medications, food or environmental. Please tell us if you have any loose teeth, crowns, or dental problems. Also, let the SurgiCenter team member know if you have contact lenses or prosthetic devices in place so that proper care can be taken.

It is also extremely important that you do not eat or drink anything after midnight Our SurgiCenter team member will give specific instructions about any medication you are taking.

During and after surgery.

During the course of your anesthetic, the SurgiCenter team will utilize current anesthesia techniques, mediation, and monitoring to provide quality anesthesia care and maximum safety. Generally patients will spend about one hour in the recovery room after anesthesia. Depending on circumstances, however, the stay may be longer.

Billing.

You will receive a bill for the professional services rendered by the SurgiCenter, a separate bill for anesthesia services and from your surgeon.
